(G)I-DLE Announce Next Member To Debut Solo In January
Following their recent contract information, Cube Entertainment has disclosed which (G)I-DLE member will officially step into the spotlight as the group’s next soloist.
The company confirmed on December 3 that Minnie will release her first solo album in January 2025, marking her debut as a solo artist since the group’s debut in 2018.
Minnie’s upcoming album is already generating buzz as fans are eager to see how she will showcase her individual artistry. It’s reported that she has been deeply involved in the creative process, from selecting tracks to shaping the album’s overall direction, ensuring it reflects her personal style.

Her solo debut comes on the heels of (G)I-DLE’s successful contract renewal with Cube Entertainment. The agency recently announced that all five members had extended their contracts and promised continued support to elevate the group’s brand and individual endeavors.
This makes Minnie the fourth member of the group to debut solo, following Soyeon, who released her first solo project in July 2021, Miyeon in April 2022, and Yuqi earlier this year in April 2024. With Minnie’s debut, Shuhua will remain the only member yet to release a solo album.
