BTS’s Jungkook Reveals The Unexpected Meaning Behind The Name “Ian”
The meaning behind BTS Jungkook‘s “Ian” has been revealed.
The name “IAN” is known to ARMYs because it was the name of Jungkook’s (then) private TikTok account, and it was also an option for a stage name.
Disney+ has released the I AM STILL film and split it into three episodes, with unreleased footage and behind-the-scenes clips.

In the new docuseries, one part follows Jungkook’s preparation for “Standing Next To You,” chatting with choreographer Ian Eastwood. The choreographer can’t stop praising Jungkook for his skills and approach to dancing, and it’s heartwarming to hear how much people respect the idol.
When Jungkook is coming off stage, the idol explains, “I wanted to use Ian as my stage name because of him.”
The idol added, “Because back then, I admired his dance moves.”
It would have been an honor for Jungkook to dance alongside someone he has respected and admired for so long.
