10 K-Pop Idol Dating Rumors That Broke The Internet In 2024
2024 is almost over, and what a wild ride it has been! Here are 10 K-Pop idol dating rumors (and supporting “evidence”) that went viral and made headlines this year.
1. BLACKPINK’s Rosé and ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo
Dating rumors about BLACKPINK’s Rose and ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo gained traction online after a viral TikTok video compiled “evidence” of their alleged romantic relationship.
The video began with “proof” from 2021; photos of the idols visiting the same art exhibition about 15 days apart. In 2022 they were both in Paris for fashion week and took similar photos, including at the same restaurant. In 2023, Cha Eunwoo went to Coachella 2023 and attended BLACKPINK’s afterparty. In 2024, within days of each other, Rosé and Cha Eunwoo posted content about visiting the TeamLabs Planets Museum in Japan.
The account also shared alleged “lovestagram” photos of the idols in different locations.
2. aespa’s Karina and NCT’s Mark
A post on Nate Pann alleging that the two had post “lovestagram” photos went viral in August. Mark posted this photo on August 20, 2024, showing off his hairstyle.
Karina posted hers a week earlier. Netizens pointed out the similarities between the photos’ compositions and the timing. The wood paneling and tiles also seemed similar. In response, netizens ridiculed this so-called evidence and accused OP of stirring the pot.
3. aespa’s Winter and RIIZE’s Sungchan
These idols were romantically linked in July, though the “evidence” doesn’t hold up under scrutiny, according to netizens.
The pieces of “proof” are similar messages that were written by the idols to their respective fans. Sungchan mentioned the ice cream brand Bing Bing in his messages, bringing up the condensed milk in the product.
Sungchan: I like Bing Bing bars too.
Sungchan: The condensed milk on top is so good…
Winter also brought up Bing Bing bars and condensed milk. That’s all!
Winter: Bing Bing should put more condensed milk??
Winter: I think that it’s a bit disappointing, maybe that’s Bing Bing’s charm..?

4. LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha and &TEAM’s K
Back in April, a dating rumor about Kazuha and K began to spread. It started after Japanese media outlet Shūkan Bunshun published a report about the alleged relationship.
The outlet also published some pictures of Kazuha, claiming they were from the day she joined K for a meal at a “high-end Yakinuku restaurant.” HYBE responded to the claims by stating that Kazuha did meet K, but, “They dined together as friends.”
5. NewJeans’ Hanni and RIIZE’s Anton
These idols were caught up in dating rumors after a post titled “RIIZE’s Anton Is Dating NewJeans’ Hanni” went viral on July 17. The original poster alleged that Hanni and Anton were dating, but they didn’t provide any evidence. Instead, the OP simply stated, “The two have too many things that overlap.”
Unsurprisingly, the viral post was met with backlash. Netizens accuse the OP of being either a troll or someone who is part of DC Inside, a controversial incel (involuntary celibate) community that has been targeting ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and NewJeans ever since the feud with HYBE began.
6. TWICE’s Jihyo and Yun Sung Bin
On March 25, media outlet SWAY reported that Jihyo and Olympian Yun Sung Bin had been dating for a year. Both JYP Entertainment and Yun Sung Bin’s agency responded to the rumors with official statements.
In a statement shared with media outlet Newsen, JYP Entertainment stated:

7. RIIZE’s Wonbin and aespa’s Giselle
Wonbin has been linked to several female idols because of questionable dating rumors. One of these idols was Giselle. Why? Simply because they were seen wearing similar rings on separate occasions.
Amid the rumors, controversial ex-trainee Han Seo Hee insinuated that the two idols were indeed dating, but many netizens refuted her claims.
8. BTS’s Jimin and Song Da Eun
Since summer 2022, Jimin and actress Song Da Eun have been caught up in dating rumors. It all began on July 18, 2022 after an anonymous netizen shared a now-deleted post titled “Proof of Bangtan Jimin Dating Song Da Eun” on Pann Nate. The post included 12 pieces of “proof” (similar accessories, Instagram posts, etc) that Jimin and actress Song Da Eun were dating.
On October 20, 2023, Song Da Eun addressed the rumors, shutting them down with a statement. But on May 16, 2024, Song Da Eun reignited rumors by sharing a video of someone walking via her Instagram Stories.
Netizens pointed out similarities to a photo V posted of Jimin in 2021.
Several other posts also linked her to Jimin, according to netizens, but particularly this photo that was allegedly shared and deleted. It showed a pair of cases with her and Jimin’s names.
9. WINNER Mino and BLOCK B P.O’s alleged double date
The two idols were seen dining with a pair of women at a restaurant.
A netizen later revealed the women’s identities, claiming that one of the women was actress Park Joo Hyun…
…and the other was Hyunjung Kim, a music director under MUZZ Studio.
10. TEMPEST’s Hyuk
A post claiming that TEMPEST’s Hyuk is allegedly dating one of ENHYPEN‘s backing dancers went viral on July 30.
In the post, the OP (Original Poster) compared messages from Hyuk, where he wrote, “Good night. I didn’t doze off, and I didn’t fall asleep…” and an Instagram story of the alleged girlfriend; “Cute…kids….Yeoksam Pod (Yeoksam group).” The dates and times of both photos were pointed to as “proof.” The OP also said that they had contacted the alleged girlfriend in the hopes that she would address the allegations. She did not.
