BLACKPINK‘s Rosé recently released a phenomenal album called rosie. The songs are all inspired by personal experience. She has been vocal in naming an infamous ex, referred to by Rosé as “the ex,” as the main motivation to write those songs.

With many hidden clues in her music video and song lyrics, fans have been relentlessly trying to sleuth out the identity of this mystery man. Some clues have pointed to Jaden Smith…

…while others wrongfully named a skater called Jason Choi.

As speculations continue, netizens have begun to voice their concern. Although Rosé has been using her story as a way to promote her album, netizens are worried that fans will get overzealous in their search. They implore her to just unmask his identity for everyone’s sake.

  • [When she cried on stage] it was during Burning Suns scandal, so even the other members cried during music shows… And Rosé needs to use this storytelling to promote her album right now. For foreign artists, people get sucked in because they know who dated who, and they know that the music is targeting someone specific, but in her case, no one knows about her dating life, so she needs to speak about it herself to promote the music. The point isn’t who she dated, but just that it was used as fodder for her album’s inspiration.
