7 Times Female K-Pop Idols Wore The Same Outfits But Served Completely Different Vibes

They made each look their own.

K-Pop idols are at the forefront of fashion, so it’s not too surprising that some idols ended up wearing the same outfits as other idols. All of these beautiful stars put a fresh spin on an outfit that matched their personalities and/or concept.

1. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa

Both idols wore this little black dress with puffy sleeves. Jisoo wore it to a Jimmy Choo x YK Jeong event, and Hwasa wore it to the Seoul Music Awards.

2. BLACKPINK’s Jennie and TWICE’s Mina

Jennie once wore a Chanel ribbed stretch jersey black & white swimsuit to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. She dressed it up with a gold floral clothing pin necklace and body jewels across her nose bridge.

She also wore black cargo pants, a pearl body chain, and trendy black boots.

Mina wore the Chanel swimsuit on SBS‘s Inkigayo during TWICE’s “Talk That Talk” promotions. TWICE’s design team modified it into a top. Instead of sticking with black and white, Mina wore a pastel yellow pleated skirt, a blue shrug, and lace-patterned knee-high stockings with it.

3. TWICE’s Momo and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung and TWICE’s Momo both wore a denim overall dress from H&M that retailed at $24.99 USD at the time. Wonyoung wore it for a photoshoot with Innisfree, a Korean cosmetics brand. She dressed up the denim by wearing a puff-sleeved blouse under it.

When Momo wore the dress for TWICE’s “Dance the Night Away,” she left the dress as-is and paired it with dangling jeweled earrings.

These idols wore the same silver Giuseppe di Morabito dress but during different promotion periods. Somi wore it in the music video and live performance of her song “What You Waiting For”…

…while Dahyun wore the dress at the 34th Golden Disc Awards. While Somi looked like a warrior knight (complete with fabric armor accessories), Dahyun sparkled like a futuristic princess.

5. IU and BLACKPINK’s Lisa

Back in 2017, Lisa and IU wore two different versions of this sheer Not Your Rose Choker Frill Blouse just one day apart. IU wore the blue version of this blouse to the Autumn Azure Concert in Dongtan. She paired it with a Lucky Chouette Embroidery Velvet Jacket and a matching black skirt.

Lisa wore a purple version of the blouse to the Busan One Asia Festival while performing “As If It’s Your Last.” Like IU, Lisa wore a skirt that matched the blouse’s velvet ribbon, but she completed the look with thigh-high boots.

6. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and IVE’s Ahn Yujin

These stars wore the same “Embroidered crepe couture short dress” from Valentino, which retailed at $7,500 USD at the time. Taeyeon wore it first, at the Genie Music Awards.  Taeyeon wore minimal makeup and accessories that let her visuals shine bright.

Yujin wore the dress to the 2022 Melon Music Awards. Like Taeyeon, Yujin went simple with the accessories but also chose bold nails to match it.
