NewJeans’ Interaction With TXT Following Contract Termination Gains Attention

The two groups attended the same event.

Since NewJeans released an official statement announcing the termination of exclusive contracts with ADOR, there has been some uncertainty surrounding the group.

In their statement, the group directly attributed this to their previously made demands not being met and unresolved issues with the company.

The group has reassured fans that they will be NewJeans even if they are unable to use the actual name anymore, and recently, even opened a new Instagram account as part of the transition.

NewJeans have also continued their activities, including appearing at the 2024 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan on December 14. The group performed several of their hit songs, much to the enjoyment of fans, whom the group later thanked on their Instagram account.

An interaction during the show has since caught attention online, involving a group currently under HYBE’s labels.

TXT were formed by BIGHIT Music, which is under the HYBE Family of labels.

With NewJeans’ departure from ADOR, and thus HYBE, some might have questioned that interactions between the group and any still under the label might have been awkward or avoidant.

However, a clip shared on X shows the two groups interacting on stage, respectfully bowing to each other as TXT make their way around the stage.

Many fans of the two groups were excited to see them interacting still amid the ongoing issues between NewJeans and ADOR.
