On December 18, it was revealed that Seunghan won “Best Idol of 2024,” and one of the prizes was a trophy for the idol. Fans shared their happiness that although Seunghan wouldn’t get one as part of RIIZE, they are continuing to show support he can see.

Amid the celebrations, SM Entertainment was already trending for negative reasons. In particular, the hashtags “SMRuinedKPOP.” “SMSupportsBullying,” and “SMWreathEnablers” were trending.

It blamed the company for the treatment Seunghan got from fans but also that since they took no action after netizens sent wreaths, it became “normal” and spread to other groups. Some even used the trending tag alongside congratulating Seunghan to emphasize the “Karma” of SM Entertainment failing to protect the idol when he was in RIIZE.

Netizens found it hilarious that both the trends were gaining attention together.

Although Seunghan is set to make a solo debut, netizens are furious that SM didn’t protect him to allow him to stay in RIIZE.
