The livestream was reminiscent of Jungkook’s old iconic broadcasts, right from his living room with some neon LED lights, karaoke, and random heart-to-hearts. Only this time, he had moved houses and even gave fans a sneak peek of the luxurious interior!

During a more vulnerable moment of the broadcast, Jungkook brought up an unexpected topic- his recently-developed insecurity as a singer. The BTS maknae admitted that his self confidence has taken a hit lately, and he was fighting it with the thought of his fans. He also jokingly mentioned that at one point he was considering taking up cooking as an alternative, but reassured ARMYs that he will return to his original spot as a singer.

Later in the broadcast, he reiterated the same concern, elaborating on it further. Jungkook expressed his frustration at watching other singers and feeling the urge to do better on stage but not being able to do much while he is enlisted. The urgency in him to hurry up and focus on his singing, juxtaposed with his enlistment, has led to somewhat of a drop in his self-esteem. Jungkook admitted that he couldn’t talk about this to many people and has been largely battling these thoughts on his own.

After the livestream, fans rushed to social media to show their support for the singer and express their gratitude at him trusting them enough to share this vulnerable moment with them.

While the transition to a soldier’s life from a full-time artist can be jarring, Jungkook’s past has clearly shown he is no less than a fighter. Here’s to seeing the “golden maknae” back at his peak really soon! Hwaiting!
