NewJeans’ Hanni Allegedly Gets Reported As An Illegal Immigrant To Customs

It was recently reported by 10Asia on December 20, 2024, that NewJeans’ Hanni was recently reported as an illegal immigrant to South Korean Customs. Someone had reported her to the office, asking for her to be deported.

The members previously notified ADOR of the termination of their exclusive contract on November 28, 2024. As Hanni holds a dual citizenship for Australia and Vietnam, she has to extend her visa in South Korean yearly. She was previously granted the E-6 visa through ADOR, but with the contract terminated, it leaves Hanni without a valid visa. According to the report claim, Hanni was in principle, considered an illegal immigrant.
