In the most recent episode of Hyeri’s YouTube series, Girls’ Generation’s Yoona made a guest appearance. The two enjoyed drinks while updating each other on their lives.
Hyeri revealed how she cast Yoona to appear on her show.
“I was on the same flight returning home from a business trip in Paris. I didn’t know I was on the same flight until I got off, where I saw someone that looked like a celebrity. She was wearing a hat and a mask, so I wondered who it was, and it turned out it was Yoona.
I asked her what she was doing these days and asked her to come on my show. I remember her saying, ‘I’m resting and not doing anything, though. Ok, sure!’”

On the show, Yoona revealed she was busy preparing something for the new year as she took a break for about a year.
Although I did fan meetings and filmed commercials in between, it was the first time I’ve taken a break this long. I felt it was time to return to work as I took a break for about a year.

She also shared that she finally had the chance to travel alone and admitted there were still so many things she didn’t know.
I even took the airport limousine bus. No one cared who I was, so I felt like I was just being conscious about it. I thought, ‘Did I hold myself back too much?’ This experience gave me a different perspective.

Meanwhile, Yoona stepped down from her MC position for the MBC Gayo Daejejeon after ten years.
