TvN‘s newest K-Drama, When the Stars Gossip, premiered over the weekend. Lee Min Ho stars as an obstetrician-gynecologist-turned-space tourist on a secret mission for his potential in-laws, who are chaebols. Min Ho’s character, Gong Ryong, meets astronaut Eve Kim (Gong Hyo Jin or Kong Hyo Jin) on this mission.

Gong Ryong (Lee Min-Ho) is an obstetrician and he is the prospective son-in-law for the largest chaebol group MZ. He has a secret mission that he can’t tell anyone about. For his secret mission, he pays large sum of money to travel to the space station as space tourist. At the space station, Eve Kim (Kong Hyo-Jin) is stationed there. She is an elite space scientist and is currently on her first space station mission as a commander. She is a perfectionist who strictly follows rules and doesn’t tolerate a single mistake in an area where dangers lurk everywhere. Her crew members including fruit fly research scientist Kang Kang-Su (Oh Jung-Se), who is the second son of a family that runs a global financial company.

The lead actors appeared on the latest episode of YouTube‘s Zzanbro show with comedian Shin Dong Yup to promote the K-Drama’s release. Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin talked about everything from filming their kiss scene to their personal relationships.

For instance, in October 2022, the actress tied the knot with her now-husband, Kevin Oh, in an intimate ceremony in New York—only six months after revealing her relationship with the singer, who is 10 years younger than her, in April of the same year.

During the Zzanbro interview with comedian Shin Dong Yup, Lee Min Ho poked fun at being the only single person present. The others were all married.

Min Ho even stepped away as Gong Hyo Jin talked about her husband, indicating that he might have been tired of hearing so much about it.

During the interview, Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin revealed they had formed a close noona and dongsaeng relationship (he’s seven years younger). He admitted that his type of woman is similar to Hyo Jin.

I’m into people who are their natural selves. People who come as they are. I think I find that the most attractive these days. In that sense, I like Hyo Jin noona a lot.

She has been personally searching for a significant other for Min Ho. He shared that she is very caring and that when they talk on the phone, they can speak for about 2 hours, most of which is her worrying about him.

Gong Hyo Jin: I’m searching for Min Ho’s partner right now with my eyes peeled open.

Lee Min Ho: She is really hard at work to find someone for me. I don’t talk to anyone for more than five minutes on the phone. There’s no one truly. If I pick up her call, two hours are gone! For 1 hour and 50 minutes of the call, noona will worry about me. Just when my ears are starting to bleed, she will accept and say, “I talked a lot, didn’t I?” When blood starts coming, she’ll cut the call.

Gong Hyo Jin also promised to help Lee Min Ho with his proposal when he’s ready to get engaged. She will ensure Min Ho makes the right choice!
