Among these was ZE:A‘s Im Siwan (also known as Yim Si Wan), who portrayed Player 333, Lee Myung Gi, a controversial YouTuber who lost everything by investing in a scam cryptocurrency and caused other players, including his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Player 222, Kim Jun Hee (Jo Yuri), and retired rapper Thanos (T.O.P, who is also known as Choi Seung Hyun), to participate in the games due to debt.

On January 9, Im Siwan revealed behind-the-scenes stories in an interview with StarNews at a café in Seoul. Siwan recalled his and T.O.P’s intense bathroom fight, which eventually resulted in T.O.P’s character being stabbed with a fork.

Siwan revealed that he and T.O.P attended an action school together to prepare. Despite the training, T.O.P unfortunately suffered an actual injury, fracturing his rib.

When you’re filming an action scene, that moment when they say ‘shoot’ is the biggest opportunity for an actor—it’s the moment when you have to really go all in. Because of that, both of us were completely absorbed in the scene. While we were shooting, we even ended up getting a little bit airborne. Just a little. But in the process, (Choi) Seung Hyun hyung fractured his rib. Honestly, it was his heroic effort through injury.

Siwan remembered fracturing a rib while boxing with mixed martial artist and judoka Yoshihiro Akiyama (also known as Choo Sung Hoon and Sexyama). So, he was empathetic to T.O.P’s injury, admiring how he heroically continued to film.

I know about this because I’ve done boxing with (Choo) Sung Hoon hyung. There was one time when I fractured a rib because of him. He only barely hit me, but it still broke. So I know how painful and sharp the pain is when you break a rib. It’s so bad you can hardly breathe properly. Honestly, that’s when you should stop filming. But despite that, T.O.P didn’t let it stop him and kept going. It made me think, ‘As a former BIGBANG member, he really is a true professional. He’s the kind of celebrity who stands out in the entertainment world.’

While T.O.P got injured, eagle-eyed netizens noticed in behind-the-scenes footage that T.O.P prevented Siwan from hurting his head by placing his hand underneath in the fight scene.

According to Siwan, T.O.P proved he’s a “true professional” that day!
