An “Encore Concert” in K-Pop is not a new concept: Idol groups, after holding a successful concert and/or a tour, respond to the overwhelming fan demands with additional performances.
Such was the case for TXT and their “ACT: PROMISE” World Tour. From May to October 2024, TXT performed 28 shows at 17 stops worldwide, followed by five “encore” concerts in Korea and Japan in November 2024.
Given the rigorous schedule and, more importantly, how overworked and even unwell the members had become, fans believed that the five encore concerts in Asia marked the end of the “ACT: PROMISE” World Tour.

On January 6 and over the next few days, however, BIGHIT MUSIC announced an “EP. 2” of the “ACT: PROMISE” World Tour—an encore of an encore, so to speak. According to the announcements, TXT will be going on an encore tour from March to May 2025, performing 22 shows at 14 stops.

Of course, the announcements came as good news for some fans who didn’t get to attend the “ACT: PROMISE” World Tour and its encore concerts.

On the other hand, fans—including Korean netizens via online communities like theqoo—were disappointed and slammed BIGHIT MUSIC for prioritizing profit over the well-being of its idols.
- “Sigh… Please let them take a break. Regroup and start a new tour. If going on tour is that important, at last put some effort into putting it together. What even is this?”
- “The thing is… Their contract renewal is not far off. If the members renew, the profit distribution could change, so BIGHIT is squeezing out as much profit as possible before that. It’s obvious that whether TXT renews or not, BIGHIT is grinding them hard to make the most out of the members right now.”
- “An encore to an encore concert…? That’s excessive. Is BIGHIT that short on cash?”
- “Given what happened to ENHYPEN, and now TXT, all I can think is… ‘BIGHIT must be super desperate for cash right now.'”
- “Wow… BIGHIT is REALLY grinding TXT to the bone.”
Meanwhile, Soobin (who went on a health-related hiatus) provided updates with a live broadcast amid the encore-encore concert announcements.
