Idol-Turned-Actor Now Confirmed “Homewrecker” At Fault After Long Legal Battle
In January of 2023, former first-generation idol UN member-turned-actor Choi Jung Won fervently denied all allegations that he had seduced a married Woman A. At the time, as he was being dubbed a “homewrecker,” Choi claimed that Woman A’s husband, Man B, was accusing him of an extramarital affair to extort money.

Fast forward to January of 2025, though, the Seoul Family Court has ruled that Woman A and her relationship with Choi Jung Won is, in fact, the main cause of her marital breakdown.
Sports Kyunghyang reported that, on December 4, 2024, the divorce lawsuit filed by Man B against Woman A was reviewed—and, as a result, the court ordered Woman A to pay Man B ₩30.0 million KRW (about $20,600 USD) in “damages.”
During the marriage, Woman A lied to her husband, Man B, claiming that she was going out to see a friend and instead met up with Choi Jung Won for brunch in May 2022.
On the 27th of the same month, Woman A lied about attending a company get-together and instead met up with Choi at Hangang Park. The two drank wine and showed physical intimacy by holding hands and linking arms. Woman A later went to Choi’s home and spent time there.
Woman A also told Man B that she was taking her son out but left the child alone at a gaming arcade while she met up with Choi for a date.

While Woman A has appealed the court’s ruling, this decision is expected to have a significant impact on the lawsuit Man B filed against Choi Jung Won.
