“Ear Filler” Is The Latest Plastic Surgery Trend — But Netizens Are Cringing Hard
Sometimes, strange new plastic surgery trends gain attention online for how bizarre they are, including iris-enlarging surgery. Most recently, a new trend has taken over: Ear filler.

…which creates a lifted and more visible ear shape, allowing the ear to be seen from the front.
With larger and more visible ears, the face appears smaller.
It can also be used to correct asymmetries or achieve a desired ear shape.
It is sometimes referred to as “fairy ear filler” as it gives off a fairy-like vibe.
Idols like NewJeans‘ Haerin and IVE‘s Wonyoung are known for their large, fairy-like ears and small faces.
However, majority of netizens were not in favor of the surgery, saying that the obsession with appearance has gone too far.
