Kim Sae Ron’s K-Drama Co-Star-Turned-Bestie Mourns With Never-Before-Seen Pictures of The Late Actress

Actress Lee Young Yoo, who debuted in 2003 as a part of the children’s group 7Princess, grieved the loss of her best friend, actress Kim Sae Ron, with an Instagram post of never-before-seen pictures of the two together.
Referring to the late actress as her “husband, heart, other half, and life,” Lee Young Yoo wrote, “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you.” In her heartbreaking note, she highlighted what a “radiant” person Kim Sae Ron was.
My eternal husband, my heart, my other half, my very life—my dearest Ron. I was so blessed to have you in my life. You made it so radiant and full of colors. You kept giving and giving and still felt bad that you couldn’t offer more… I have never received such unconditional love before I met you. You’re the one who taught me what it’s like to be loved like that. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again. I miss you so much, but if this means you’re no longer in pain, then that’s enough for me. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you. I miss you, my baby sis. I love you so much. ❤️

In response, Lee Young Yoo’s followers mourned the loss with her, pointing out how the hate Kim Sae Ron received was unreasonable.

Lee Young Yoo and Kim Sae Ron are thought to have befriended one another on the set of the 2013 K-Drama Queen of the Classroom.
After she was first found dead in her home in Seoul around 4:54 PM KST on February 16, 2025 and then the police confirmed it a suicide death, Kim Sae Ron’s other friends from the entertainment world have been grieving the loss.
