BESTie scolded by Manager for revealing Idols’ dating secrets
BESTie recently spoke up about the realities of their dating ban, and their managers were not happy about it.
BESTie appeared on an episode of Noisey, a documentary series on VICELAND that explores “the cultures and artists behind some of the world’s most compelling music scenes.” During the episode, BESTie gave an interview about their lives as K-Pop idols.
The girls were asked how their lives had been affected since becoming idols and began joking about how their lives were almost the same, except when it came to dating.

They go on to talk about the reason that many agencies prevent their idols from dating. They explained that “typically, idol fans want us to be their boyfriends or girlfriends” and that if an idol is revealed to be dating someone, it can jeopardize the group’s popularity.
After the interview, BESTie’s managers can be heard criticizing the group for their comments and for being too open about the real reasons that they do not date.
