Eric Nam chooses which of the “Big 3” Companies he feels he matches with the best
After having opportunities to collaborate with an artist from each of the “Big 3” K-pop labels, Eric Nam gave his thoughts on which company fits his style the most.
On March 9, Mnet held a special broadcast titled Mnet Present where Jeon Somi and Eric Nam revealed their collaboration song “You, Who?” with a special live performance. The two also talked about special behind-the-scenes stories about the song recording and music video filming.
Somi asked Eric Nam, “You’ve now collaborated with artists from SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment. Which of the 3 companies do you think you match the best with?” to which Eric Nam replied with the following:
“I’ve also collaborated with 15&’s Park Jimin before. I have a lot of friends that are JYP Entertainment artists. They have a lot of things in common with me. I think that is why I match best with JYP.”
— Eric Nam
Back in January, Eric Nam collaborated with Epik High‘s Tablo and American R&B artist Gallant for “Cave Me In”. Eric Nam also worked with Red Velvet‘s Wendy for the SM Station song “Spring Love”. His newest song, “You, Who?” is also Somi’s first notable musical feature since I.O.I‘s disbandment.
