This could be the future of the Produce 101 Season 2 winners
After the success of I.O.I and Produce 101 Season 1, YMC Entertainment may once again oversee the promotions for the group created by Produce 101 Season 2.
According to an exclusive insider report, YMC Entertainment, which was responsible for overseeing I.O.I’s activities, will be responsible for the activities for Produce 101 Season 2‘s group. Based off of the experience they gained from last year, YMC Entertainment plans to expand to global activities.
YMC Entertainment has come out with a statement regarding this report, saying,
“Nothing is confirmed at the moment. We are still in discussions [with Mnet].”

The group created from Produce 101 Season 2 will have contracts that end on December 31, 2018. Even though I.O.I had immense popularity both domestically and abroad, the group did not have any international promotions other than performing at KCON 2016 LA. YMC Entertainment believes that increasing the length of time that the group is together will allow them to meet their goal of global promotions.
Fans who have witnessed the success of I.O.I are looking forward to seeing how the new group will do. There is increased interest in Season 2 as there are former and current idol group members appearing on the show. The first episode of Produce 101 Season 2 will be broadcast on April 7.
