Jeong Darae was previously a member of South Korea’s national swimming team, but recently, she has been getting attention outside the pool for her beautiful features.
Jeong Darae has been one of Korea’s elite swimmers ever since her official debut at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, where she qualified for the 200m breaststroke aged only 16 years old. She went on to win gold at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, marking her best result and pushing her up to 15 in the world rankings.
She also gained popularity on social media for her incredible visuals and, combined with her impressive skill in the water, has earned the title of “the water goddess”.
With round eyes, a straight nose, and a slim face, Jeon Darae fits the notoriously strict Korean beauty standards.
Since retiring from competitive swimming in 2015 after suffering an injury, she has made several appearances on entertainment shows such as SBS‘s The Racer and KBS‘s Sports Story. She is currently part of BONBOO Entertainment, so fans are sure to see more of her angelic face in the future.
