Luhan to have first round of mediation with SM Entertainment on December 16th
It has been reported that Luhan will enter court-mandated mediation with SM Entertainment on December 16th.
On December 4th, it was confirmed that the former EXO member will begin first round of mediation at 2pm KST on December 16th with SM Entertainment in hopes of coming to an agreement regarding his lawsuit to nullify his contract.
The Seoul Central District Court stated, “The decisions that were made on November 25th regarding Luhan’s nullification case, which was submitted on October 10th, will commence with mediation which will be conducted by Seoul’s 6th legal sector.”
It was reported earlier that Luhan and SM Entertainment were to enter court-appointed mediation. The court also announced that they will be mediating the meeting in hopes of bringing both sides to an amicable agreement regarding the contract nullification.
Luhan filed for contract nullification on October 10th following in suit with former EXO-M leader Kris (Wu Yi Fan) who filed for contract nullification in May. Both former members of EXO-M filed their suit with the same lawyers who represented former Super Junior member Hangeng when he left the SM Entertainment group 5 years ago.
Luhan has been actively promoting for his new movie Ms. Granny and even sang his OST for the movie live at the press conference. Meanwhile, EXO won four awards last night at the 2014 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) despite their tough year, and is expected to make a comeback early next year.
Whether or not the two sides will be able to reach an agreement has become the focus of media attention. Stay tuned as Koreaboo continues to update you on the latest news regarding Luhan’s case.
