Taecyeon talks about the benefits of knowing TWICE prior to military enlistment
2PM‘s Taecyeon will be enlisting in the military soon, but thankfully, TWICE may attend his visitations to make it all worthwhile.
In the press conference for Taecyeon’s last film before enlistment, House of the Disappeared, the actor-turned-idol revealed how he felt with his upcoming military enlistment, as well as how he has been spending his remaining days as a civilian.
Taecyeon showed an extraordinary sense of responsibility and determination when he revealed that he opted for hernia surgery just so he could fulfill his duties and enlist in the military in the public service department, and he had even given up his American citizenship in order to enlist.
When asked how he felt about going, he explained that going to the military will make him feel more honorable, knowing that he served his country as a public service worker.
“I’m really determined. I think my heart will feel lighter if I go as an active duty solider. I don’t want to feel like I’m avoiding my duties. I have a trustworthy image. Wahaha. Later on when I’m married and with kids, I want to feel honorable. My enlistment date isn’t confirmed but I think it’ll be in the summer. Initially, I was told it would be around the beginning of this year, so I did feel a little anxious.”
But I want to spend my remaining civilian days having a lot of fun. Right now, I’m stretching a lot (after the hernia surgery), eating healthy foods, and focusing on my overall health.”

When asked about TWICE and how his relationship with them could affect his military enlistment, he revealed that many of his seniors had advised him to treat them extra nicely so that they would visit him during his visitation sessions.
“Tips from my seniors who have already served? They keep telling me to get TWICE to visit me. (Laughs) So I’m treating them very kindly these days.”
