[★VIDEO] GOT7’s Jackson wins “Rookie Award” at 2014 SBS Entertainment Awards
On December 30th, GOT7’s Jackson won the “Entertainment Rookie Award” award in entertainment at the 2014 SBS Entertainment Awards for his work on the second season of Roommate.
Jackson had tough competition as he was up against fellow Roommate cast member and roommate on the show, Seo Kang Joon, as well as Song Chang Eui, Lee Jae Ryong, and Jung Kyo Woon of EcoVillage (Merry House).
After Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Yoo Jung announce his name, Jackson hugs his fellow Roommate cast and bows as he walks up to the stage, showing his appreciation for winning the award. As he stands before the microphone, some of his cast members walk up to give him more bouquet’s of flowers as well as placing a crown on his head that reads “Wang,” his last name in Chinese which also means King.
His speech starts with “Oh my god, is this really happening?” demonstrating his interesting personality that won over the hearts of many right off the bat. In his speech, he thanks people who have helped him mold who he is today for the prestigious award. He also thanks family, friends, his bandmates in GOT7, and his fans, IGOT7s. He finishes the speech with a touching dedication to his parents saying, “I’m so lucky to be your son. I love you.”
