This Idol Group Finally Made Their First Award Show Since Their Debut 6 Years Ago
It took nearly 6 long years, but this group finally walked their first red carpet at an awards event!
The group was none other than NU’EST who debuted back in March 2012.
The four of the five members walked onto the red carpet for 2017 Asia Artist Awards.
And they all looked exceptionally dashing in their matching black suits!
For the past 6 years, NU’EST wasn’t able to attend awards shows because of their less than stellar sale records.
Their newly released singles would rank 225th in charts, and less than 100 fans would show up to their fan meetings.
But now… not only did they participate in their first award ceremony, NU’EST also won their first award!
“It was our dream to be at an awards show, and we are very honored to just be here.
Thank you so much for this big award.”
— NU’EST
They thanked their fans by attributing the “Best Entertainment Award” to their fans’ hard work.
“We were able to stand here today because of our fans, L.O.Λ.E.
Thank you so much and we love you.
We will try our best to show you good performances and good music.
Thank you!”
— NU’EST
The night was their first in many aspects as they also performed their first ever award ceremony stage with “Where You At”.
NU’EST completely changed their fate by participating in Mnet’s Produce 101, earlier this year.
As they went from the lower tier of idol groups to one of the most popular groups today!
Last Year This Group Couldn’t Even Fill A Small Auditorium, Now They Sell Out Concert Halls
The 2017 Asia Artist Awards became a very meaningful moment for all of the members who waited and dreamed for this over the last 6 years!
And fans can’t wait to see them participate in next year’s award ceremonies as a full group with Wanna One’s Minhyun!
