BTS’s V fans love to go the extra mile for his birthday, showering him in Gucci, Burberry, Prada, St. Laurent, iPhones, and even an actual star from outer space.

 

This year, Baidu V (a Chinese fansite), has truly outdone itself, taking all 3 spots for V’s most expensive birthday gifts this year. As part of their fanpage project, they collected a total of $153 873 (USD) and are using it to celebrate V’s birthday worldwide.

These are the top 3 most expensive birthday gifts BTS’s V received:

3. Leica Camera + Noctilux Lens ($17 690 USD)

Fans have been in love with V’s penchant for taking pictures under the pseudonym “Vante” for some time now.

Baidu V, acknowledging V’s love of photography, gifted him the world’s fastest aspherical lens, the NOCTILUX – M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH Lens valued at $10,795.00 (USD), along with a Leica M10 Camera valued at $6 895.00 (USD).

2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Watch ($39 100 USD)

This meaningful Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Quantième Lunaire Watch was carefully picked out for V’s special day.

3. Birthday Ads (Starting at $22 688 USD)

Baidu V also bought V a week’s worth of billboard space in New York’s Times Square, wanting to put their love for him on display.The fanmade ads were displayed from December 23rd to December 30th, playing every 30 minutes.

We can only imagine the cost of this gift as monthly ad space for the Reuters building (the one with multiple screens as seen below) starts at $30 000 (USD) a month and the Nasdaq signage starting at $60 750 (USD) a month.
