CL Teases Release of Music In The US, Says She’s Gotten Close With American Pop Artists
It looks like 2018 will be a big year for CL, following the news that she will performing during the closing ceremony for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Although she recently returned to Korea for Taeyang and Min Hyorin’s wedding, she has been recording and writing music in L.A. for the last few months.
In fact, she’s been open about her struggles with releasing music in the U.S. market, and her drive to make new music for her fans that have been patiently waiting.
“I know you’ve all been waiting and I wanted to end the year with a gift to you guys.”
Although she released this teaser of unreleased music in early January, it’s unknown whether this will make it’s way onto CL’s newest album or single.
CL also revealed that rather than make her goal “success”, she is determined to challenge the American market this year.
“It feels like I’ve returned to being a trainee..the domestic system and culture is different. As I run into each [trial] one by one, I learn so much.” — CL
CL and her American team are working hard to play by the U.S. music scene’s rules while adding her own unique flavour too. In that vein, she recently released a song on My Little Pony: The Movie‘s soundtrack, called “No Better Feelin”.
Fans are dying to hear what CL’s been working on; and there’s no doubt CL wants to let them hear it!
