North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un Has Offered To Stop Nuclear Missle Tests
North Korea has expressed willingness to talk to the U.S. in an “open-ended dialogue to discuss the issue of denuclearization and to normalize relations with North Korea.”
Officials from both countries met in Pyongyang and, after the meeting, South Korea reported on North Korea’s willingness to open talks with the U.S. To show their sincerity and goodwill, North Korea has even agreed to stop conducting nuclear and missile tests.
North Korea has even spoken out that they see no reason to have nuclear weapons if their security can be guaranteed and military threat against them can be resolved. The two Koreas are also planning a summit between President Moon Jae In and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month.
Meanwhile, President Trump has said he believes that they are sincere. He tweeted on Thursday, “Great progress being made but sanctions will remain until an agreement is reached. Meeting being planned!”
Kim Jong Un talked about denuclearization with the South Korean Representatives, not just a freeze. Also, no missile testing by North Korea during this period of time. Great progress being made but sanctions will remain until an agreement is reached. Meeting being planned!
