Kahi reflects on leaving Pledis Entertainment after contract expires
Former leader of After School and solo artist Park Kahi has officially left Pledis Entertainment following her exclusive contract expiration, and left a heartfelt message to fans via her Twitter account.
On January 19th, Kahi writes, “It’s been six years since After School debuted…Yet…This is how long it took me to leave the agency…You’ve helped me realize my dream and helped me when I lacked, I’m grateful to my Pledis family… Thank you very much..Wherever I may be, I will work harder in the future with a more mature self.!!”
As one of the original After School members, Kahi debuted into the music industry as a singer and rapper in 2009, previously getting recognized as a backup dancer for BoA, Lexy, 1TYM, and more, as well as being the featured rapper in Son Dam Bi’s “Bad Boy.”
Kahi made her graduation from the group in 2012, returning with a solo comeback the next year with “Who Are You?”. In 2014, she made an entrance into her musical acting career with All Shook Up.
No word has been revealed yet as to what her next step may be, or what agency she will be singing with next.
