Actor Jang Geun Suk was recently caught in a scandal regarding his tax evasion, so the news that he purchased a building worth 20 billion KRW (approximately $18.373 million USD) has been gathering the attention of the Korean netizens.
Netizens are reacting with shock to the information that Jang Geun Suk purchased a building in Samsung-dong even while his tax evasion scandal has not completely died down.
His agency, Tree J Company, confirmed in the afternoon on January 19th, “It is true that Jang Geun Suk recently bought a building.”
The building that he purchased has three floors below ground and six floor above ground, and he purchased the building for 21 billion KRW.
His agency stated , “It has nothing to do with the recent tax evasion issue,” and “We hope you do not try to find a link between this and his tax case.”
