Kakao M Grows Stronger By Partnering With BH, J-Wide Company, And Soop
Kakao M reportedly entered in a strategic partnership with BH Entertainment, J-Wide Company and Soop Management – three agencies housing some of the top actors in Korea. They’ve also entered a partnership with Ready Entertainment, the #1 Korean casting agency for global promotional models. They’ve secured their mark as one of the top agencies in acting by placing strategic equity investments into these companies.
BH Entertainment currently houses top actors such as Lee Byung Hun, Kim Go Eun, Chu Ja Hyun, and more. J-Wide Company is home to Kim Tae Ri, Lee Sang Yoon, Choi Daniel, and more. Soop Entertainment lists top global stars, such as Gong Yoo, Gong Hyo Jin, Jeon Do Yeon, and more. All of these stars have a fanbase that reaches far beyond Korea.
Kakao M is expected to have an influential role in all sectors of the film industry through these partnerships. They seek to expand its value chain by targeting the global content market. Kakao M’s CEO announced that they hope to become the top player in all of K-Contents through these strategic investments.
“Kakao M will maximize profits by completing the value chain that includes actors, producers, and advertisers. It will quickly become the number one player in K-Contents, as we seek to strengthen our synergy with parent companies and partnering companies.”
— Lee Jae Wook, Kakao M’s CEO
Kakao M recently took over LOEN Entertainment and all of its subsidiaries (FAVE, Starship, King Kong, Plan A and more) for a strong foothold in the K-Pop industry.
