Seungri Reveals His Comeback Title Track “1, 2, 3!” Wasn’t Supposed To Be His Song
BIGBANG‘s Seungri fascinated his fans during his live broadcast, celebrating the release of his first solo album!
During this broadcast, Seungri revealed that his title track “1, 2, 3!” didn’t actually belong to him.
“When I first came across the track, it was already recorded by BLACKPINK’s Rosé. The song belonged to BLACKPINK.”
— Seungri
Upon being suggested to try the song, Seungri was able to create the summer-y song which now has everyone dancing along.
“It was suggested that the track might sound better in a male voice. So I tried singing it and it didn’t sound half bad. That’s how “1, 2, 3!” became my title track.”
— Seungri
Seungri explained, “The track “1, 2, 3!” originally had a more fierce, charismatic vibe to it.”
“I ended up adding my bright, fun vibes to the song and now it’s a song of confidence and energy!”
— Seungri
Seungri’s album was rather unplanned. It was Seungri’s fellow BIGBANG members’ enlistments that inspired Seungri to try flying solo.
“I’m sure most of you know, but I didn’t plan on going solo. But the other BIGBANG members ended up going to the military and they told me they want me to be active in making music. The members wanted me to keep interacting with the fans on behalf of all of them, so that BIGBANG fans can’t feel the void of them being gone. So I was inspired to release this album.”
