Fans Upset About BTS Not Being Nominated In AMA’s Music Categories
BTS was nominated for the first time at the 2018 American Music Awards (AMAs) under the category, “Favorite Social Artist“. It’s the first time a Korean group was nominated for any award at the AMAs.

Amidst the millions of ARMYs celebrating the historical nomination, some fans have vocalized their “disappointment” about how the group wasn’t nominated for any music categories. “Favorite Social Artist” focuses on the power of influence the artists have on social media platforms.

bts being nominated at the amas is a step in the right direction. yes it’s disappointing that it’s not a nomination related to their music, but this is another way for the gp to discover bts. let’s show that bts are not only powerful socially, but also powerful musically.

Even though I'm a bit disappointed, I truly think the social nom for BTS is a big win as it shows how their presence has grown since last year's #AMAs. They deserve to be recognized in one of the music-based categories, but hopefully that'll come as their awareness grows among GP

No matter what opinion you may have about the 2018 AMAs nominations, it’s undeniable that BTS has achieved another historical feat! And that’s more than enough to celebrate as an ARMY!
Pls, don't rant under the amas posts. Also, we can't get mad. They nominated established grps. They didn't "just" nominate. Be glad. Every award is a blessing. BTS is the First Korean Act to be nominated (& will win) on the AMAs. This is also why we have to step up our streams
