Apink states the Hallyu Wave is far from over in Japan
Apink is heading to Japan for activities after recently wrapped up their Korean promotions for “LUV” and holding their first solo concert on January 30th and 31st.
Following a two week break, the popular girl group is set to release their 2nd Japanese single “Mr. Chu” in the “Land of the Rising Sun” where they will soon begin promotions. After a well-deserved break, Apink is not deterred in the slightest for the challenge ahead of them.
Their agency told Daily Sports in a recent statement on February 13th, “There’s a conception that ‘Korean Wave is dying down in Japan’, however we did not feel that in the slightest.”
The agency continued to state, “As soon as the members landed in the airport, there were so many fans that the airport becomes paralyzed, and requests for interviews flood. The members are fluent enough in Japanese not to require translators and this puts them in an advantageous position.”
Meanwhile, Apink is set to release the Japanese version of “Mr. Chu” on February 18th.
