LA Times Lists BTS V’s “Singularity” as Song to be Replayed
BTS V’s solo song “Singularity” has made it onto Los Angeles Times’ list: “Best of 2018: The 10 (or so) songs that demanded to be replayed”, once again proving BTS to be at the core of K-pop.
“Singularity” is a Neo-soul, R&B genre of song. It is also the intro and V’s solo song to BTS’s third studio album, “Love Yourself: Tear”.
On the 24th, Los Angeles Times(LA Times) released this list, comprising of world-class pop singers such as Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Cardi B, and John Mayor. Among these artists’ hit songs, BTS V’s “Singularity” was mentioned 4th. This is especially amazing when considering “Singularity” is the only K-pop song to have made it onto this list.
LA Times praised BTS on their success in popularizing K-pop even further in the US.
Seoul’s hyperactive K-pop scene finally went mainstream in America this year thanks to BTS.

LA Times also complimented “Singularity”, saying it was the “most arresting song” that BTS has released in 2018.

LA Times pointed out that the reason “Singularity” got so much love and praise was due to V’s soulful voice.
