Jung Joon Young’s Case Was Sent To The Supreme Prosecutors’ Office Rather Than The Police

Here’s why:

The Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) has sent the case involving Seungri and Jung Joon Young‘s chatroom conversation of illegal hidden cams and ties to the police to the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office for further investigation.

Last month, the ACRC received proof of the illegal hidden cams taken by male celebrities as well as the chatroom data suggesting ties to the police from the lawyer Bang Jung Hyun. After 20 days of inspecting the data, they have sent everything to the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office on March 11 and requested further investigation.

ACRC reported the official document containing the request for investigation to the police, the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the police and Bang Jung Hyun.

The biggest reason as to why ACRC requested an investigation by the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office rather than the police is most likely in order to more thoroughly investigate the relations between Club Burning Sun and its ties to the police as suggested by Bang Jung Hyun.

It is now up to the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office to decide whether they will conduct the investigation directly or send it to the police and oversee it.

Bang stated that the police are currently searching the private forensic company that was responsible for the restoration of Jung Joon Young’s phone in 2016.

After the data was referred to the Supreme Prosecutors’ office on the 12th and the police notified, the police have been searching the private forensic company that was responsible for the restoration of Jung Joon Young’s phone in 2016 from 11 am the 13th.
