Another Artist Suspected Of Chart Manipulation After Surpassing BTS, TWICE And More
An obscure singer known as Lim Jae Hyun has been suspected of using chart manipulation after he rapidly rose to the top of the music charts.
Lim Jae Hyun’s “If There Was Practice in Love”, which was released on September 25, 2018, recently began climbing the charts and ranked No.1 on the Melon Chart on May 20th. The song continues to maintain its rank as of May 21st.
People have been suspecting chart manipulation due to the fact that it has already been nearly 9 months since “If There Was Practice in Love” was first released and the fact that it surpassed popular artists such as BTS and TWICE. The majority seems to agree that there is not enough basis for his rapid rise in the charts.
Some claim that Lim Jae Hyun’s song began receiving more attention after Monday Kiz member Lee Jinsung sang a cover of his song on his YouTube channel, which is how it rapidly rose in the chart rankings, but many others claim that this wasn’t sufficient basis for his sudden success.
Lim Jae Hyun’s “If There Was Practice in Love” is currently in the top rankings of other music charts including Genie, Soribada, Olleh Music, Bugs Music and Mnet.
