EXO manager fined for assaulting fan at airport
A manager of popular boy group EXO has been slapped with a fine after he allegedly assaulted a fan at the airport.
According to reports, the manager physically assaulted the fan after she tried to take a photo of the idols last year.
On April 29th, Judge Kim Seong Jin came to a ruling on the case and fined the 34-year old manager (A) and SM Entertianment employee a million won, or approximately $936 USD.
The event occurred on August 19, 2014 at approximately 6:30pm KST at the Incheon International Airport where manager A was accompanying EXO across a parking lot, returning from their concert schedule from Nanjing, China. As fan B attempted to take a photo of EXO, manager A slapped her on the head causing her to hit her head on her camera. In addition to the injury caused to her head from the camera, she also suffered from neck injuries and was treated in the hospital for two weeks.
Manager A denied the accusations, telling the court that he did see fan B, but “I did not assault her or inflict any type of injury on her.”
However, the court decided against him, taking in the evidence and the injuries that the defendant obtained.
