BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” Is The First K-Pop Group MV To Reach 1.1 Billion Views, YG Entertainment Celebrates
BLACKPINK has reached another milestone!
On March 24, “DDU-DDU-DDU” became the first K-Pop group music video to surpass the 1.1 billion view mark on Youtube, over 1 year and 9 months after its release on June 15, 2018.
Psy was the first K-Pop artist to hit 1 billion views with “Gangnam Style” back in 2012.
The official YG Entertainment Twitter account thanked BLINKs for helping the DDU-DDU-DDU music video reach its record-breaking number of views. They accompanied the message with a poster that had the members’ picture and a large “1.1 Billion” text over them.
