SuperM And TWICE To Postpone Tokyo Dome Concerts Due To COVID-19
In light of the COVID-19 and the affects all over the world, idol groups have been continuously postponing or cancelling concerts and tours.
On March 27, SM Entertainment announced through their official Japan website regarding the SuperM We Are The Future Live in Japan Postponements.
They stated, “Due to the entry restrictions enforced in Japan and the COVID-19, the concert originally scheduled for April 23 will be postponed for the safety of our artists, staff, and fans.”
They plan to update fans on future decisions regarding the concert soon. “We are truly sorry to all the fans that have been waiting for this concert.”
SuperM consists of seven members from different groups within SM Entertainment and released their first mini album last October.
Girl group TWICE’s Tokyo Dome concerts have been pushed back once again.
On March 27, TWICE Japan’s official website posted an announcement revealing that the concerts scheduled for April 15 and 16 as part of their TWICE WORLD TOUR 2019-TWICELIGHTS IN JAPAN has been postponed once again.
Although TWICE prepared hard for this concert, the spread of the COVID-19 has made it hard for them to proceed with the event.
Officials stated, “Due to the government restrictions enforced in Japan, and for the safety of our artists and staff, we have decided to postpone the event.”
They are currently in discussion for a new concert date and will update the website soon with either a rescheduled date and/or refund after they make a decision.
They apologized to fans for yet another postponement of the concert.
This concert was originally scheduled for March 3-4 but was postponed to April 15-16 due to the virus. However, due to the current outspread of the virus, they have decided to postpone it once again.
