Ki Hong Lee, Arden Cho, Daniel Dae Kim and more highlighted in #IAM campaign by Verizon
On May 7th, in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE), in collaboration with Verizon, launched the second season of their #IAm campaign.
The #IAm campaign aims to bring awareness and connect Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in various industries together, as well as bring to light inspiring, powerful stories of fellow AAPI.
This year’s #IAM campaign will highlight the stories of Arden Cho (actress in “Teen Wolf”), Daniel Dae Kim (actor in “Lost” and “Hawaii Five-0”), Ki Hong Lee (actor in “The Maze Runner” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), Ted Kim, Yong Kim, Chris Oh (founders of Seoul Sausage Co.), Jason Chen (musician), Cassey Ho (lifestyle and fitness guru, Blogilates), and Constance Wu (actress in “Fresh Off The Boat”) through a series of mini-documentaries.
In addition, the campaign will be putting on two free events hosted by comedian Paul “PK” Kim, which will feature the artists they documented. The two events will take place in Los Angeles at the Japanese American National Museum on May 27th and in New York at the Japan Society on June 18th.
CAPE is a non-profit organization that was established in 1991 to support AAPI’s in the entertainment industry with the mission to champion diversity by educating, connecting, and empowering AAPI artists and leaders in entertainment and media.
