BTS’s Map Of The Soul: 7 ~The Journey~ Just Made History Yet Again
BTS‘s latest Japanese album, Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~, has already been achieving all kinds of records and milestones already since its July 15 release. It shouldn’t be too surprising, given that they’ve become the biggest boy band in the world and have already proven time and time again how much they’re dominating the music industry.
This week, however, they added yet another achievement onto the practically endless number of others that they’ve already reached.
The album debuted on the Canadian Albums chart this week at #90, which, although a relatively low position on the chart as a whole, still meant that they achieved something that no one else has. Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~ is BTS’s 10th album to make it onto this chart, making them the only K-Pop act in history to have double-digit albums on the list!
It’s likely that it will rise on the list, too, given that the album was released mid-week and thus didn’t have a full week to rack up all the sales that it would have.
They likely won’t be caught up to any time soon by another K-Pop artist, either. Only BLACKPINK, EXO, and NCT 127 have more than one album on the chart, and they aren’t nearly at the 10 albums mark.
These are the other 9 BTS albums that have made it onto the Canadian Albums chart, and the highest peak positions that they reached:
#99: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever
#40: Face Yourself
#35: You Never Walk Alone
#19: Wings
#3: Love Yourself: Her
#2: Love Yourself: Tear
#1: Love Yourself: Answer
#1: Map of the Soul: Persona
#1: Map of the Soul: 7
Congratulations to BTS, and here’s to seeing them break even more records in the future!
