BLACKPINK’s Rosé Praised For Constantly Supporting LGBTQ BLINKs
Although there is still a lot of stigma surrounding homosexuality in South Korea, many idols and artists have stepped forward to show their support for the LGBTQ community.
In particular, many individuals from the LGBTQ community are fans of K-Pop, particularly overseas where they constantly express their support for their idols.
It has been noted that throughout, BLACKPINK’s world tour this year, the girls have been shown to be incredibly respectful and kind to BLINKs. But Rosé has stood out in particular for how openly she has shown her support for LGBTQ BLINKs.
In Manila, a fan threw a Pride flag onto the stage, which Rosé picked up and waved it onscreen.

She was later seen smiling with Lisa as Lisa started unfolding the Pride flag.
Additionally, in America, one BLINK handed Rosé a stuffed animal that was meaningful to her.
She got it for me on one of our first dates.

Without hesitation, Rosé asked her who her girlfriend was. When the BLINK pointed her girlfriend out in the crowd, Rosé told her how sweet it was that she bought her date a stuffed animal.
Aw, that is so cute!

Rosé asked if the BLINK wanted the stuffed animal back because of how meaningful it was to her, but the fan replied that she wanted Rosé to have it and keep it with her in South Korea so Rosé agreed.

Even though individuals in the LGBTQ community still face discrimination and challenges in South Korea, it is heartwarming to see artists and idols speak out in support of them.
Hopefully this will further ongoing change in how LGBTQ people are treated and respected across the world.
