Dispatch Reveals More About The Unfair Treatment Idols Received During Mnet’s 2020 MAMA
Fans have been duly upset at Mnet for their 2020 MAMA, where it was previously reported that idols and actors received biased treatment. While actors were provided with cushy waiting areas and catering, idols had to wait in their cars in the cold. Although Mnet has stepped up to address the claims, Dispatch has gone a step further and revealed what they claim to be the truth.
Through talking to unnamed representatives from the idols’ agencies, it was revealed that most idols were not given any waiting rooms or dressing rooms. They had to wait in their cars in the parking lot. Only two idol groups were given proper waiting rooms. Those that waited in cars had to use outdoor portable toilets.
It was revealed that some idols rented accommodations in nearby areas to wait in. The representative shared that most singers have bad backs, and waiting in cars for long periods of time is tough on them. Hence, some simply chose to rent rooms nearby. It was also revealed that while catering was set up outside the waiting rooms, the rest were informed that they could use the cafeteria inside the building.
However, most idol management made the decision to eat inside their individual cars instead, ordering in burgers and lunch boxes. It was said that no idols made use of the catering service provided, although Mnet had previously claimed both actors and idols were given access to catering.
Those that participated in 2020 MAMA include, BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, BoA, SHINee‘s Taemin, GOT7, MAMAMOO, MONSTA X, DAY6, Stray Kids, THE BOYZ, ATEEZ, Jessi, OH MY GIRL, (G)I-DLE, and many more.
