Girls’ Generation Taeyeon’s Dog Zero Becomes A Billionaire With His Clothing Line Sales Record
Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon is so successful, even her dog is a celebrity—no, seriously! The adorable gray poodle, Zero, actually has his own clothing line in collaboration with popular Korean brand SPAO. And, according to reports, it’s been selling like crazy.
Taeyeon welcomed Zero (whose name is a reference to A Nightmare Before Christmas) into her heart back in November 2017. Setting him up with his very own Instagram account as a puppy, it seems Taeyeon knew the precious pooch was destined for stardom.

Since then, Zero has been a constant source of support for Taeyeon. She even wrote a song about him for her new album, What Do I Call You.
He’s also enjoyed a life of luxury with Taeyeon by his side. He’s one of the stars of Petionista Taengoo, Taeyeon’s reality series where she meets up with idols and their dogs.
And he even once became an employee at SM Entertainment. When you take his flourishing fame into account, it seems a little less crazy that this doggy star has his own clothing line.
After an announcement in June 2020, The SPAO x Zero collection launched in August last year. The line included everything from cute t-shirts to soft pajamas—all decorated with cute illustrations of the gray poodle himself.
Given Taeyeon’s popularity, it should come as little surprise that the adorable clothing and accessory collection sold out on the first day it was released. Throughout the month, “Zero” and “Taeyeon” reached the top of SPAO’s trending searches as customers scrambled to get their hands on the must-have items.
In October 2020, a new SPAO x Zero fall/winter collection was launched, adding items like hairbands and AirPods cases to the lineup.
While the company is yet to announce any new additions to the line for 2021, it seems like sales aren’t slowing at all. In fact, according to a new report from Hankyung Economy, Zero’s very own clothing line sold a staggering ₩1 billion KRW (about $920,000 USD) worth of merchandise by the end of 2020—just four months after its release.
The sweetest part? A percentage of all the proceeds from SPAO x Zero are donated to helped abandoned pets and animals in need.
With so much success in such a short period of time, fans expect that billionaire Zero’s clothing line is here to stay for a while longer. Here’s hoping a new collection is announced for this year’s spring season.
