Types of faces that are preferred by SM, YG and JYP

On a famous Korean online community called Instiz, netizens compiled types of faces that are preferred by “The Big 3” entertainment companies.

SM – They prefer males with very defined features. (Some jokingly refer to it as horse face or Sooman’s horse farm, but since some fans may not appreciate this term it will be referred to as the Kangta face)

1. Kangta (H.O.T)  – The first of SM’s idol visual line and the pioneer of the Kangta face type

2. J (TRAX) – The second successor of the Kangta face

3. Siwon (Super Junior) – The third successor of the Kangta face

4. Zhoumi (Super Junior M)

5. Suho (EXO)

YG – The most distinct feature in the “YG” type of face is the beauty mark. (YG doesn’t seem to have a specific type of face that they go for but many of their most iconic idols seem to have beauty marks on their faces so I’ve grouped them)

1. Oh Jinhwan (1TYM)

2. G Dragon (BIG BANG)

3. Kim Jin Hwan (IKON)

JYP – No double eyelids and adorable eye smiles.
