FNC Entertainment Announces New Labels For Trot And Girl Groups
FNC Entertainment has just announced that it will be creating two new labels so that they can focus on better music production.
FNC W was launched on February 1 as an independent label that specializes in girl groups. Co-CEO of FNC Entertainment, Han Seung Hoon, will also be the CEO of FNC W. FNC Entertainment reportedly invested ₩12 billion won KRW (about $10.77 million USD) in the company.
FNC W will take over the management of Cherry Bullet as well as a new girl group they are making preparations for.
FNC B, which will be launching sometime this month, is a label that will be specializing in trot music. It will be a 50/50 joint partnership between FNC Entertainment and HOW Entertainment (a subsidiary of the streaming company NHN Bugs).
Due to the partnership, FNC B will be able to produce albums, distribute, and manage artists at the same time on its own.
FNC Entertainment hopes that these new labels will allow them to become more flexible and specialize in artist management and promotion. They also hope to support artists with different musical talents.
