GOT7’s Mark Reveals Why He Hasn’t Signed With An Agency
The GOT7 members didn’t renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment, and a lot of them ended up signing with a new agency.
Mark, however, didn’t sign with any agency and decided to return home to America. During a recent Instagram live, Mark revealed why he decided not to sign with an agency.
During the live broadcast, a fan asked, “Mark, aren’t you going to join an agency?”
Mark then shared that he did receive offers from various agencies, but he ultimately declined all of them. Mark also shared that he has no plans of signing with an agency.
Well, for me, It’s like, I did get a few offers, but… Hmm. I don’t think I’ll be joining (an agency) any time soon, not even in the states.

Mark then shared that he wants to try things independently and hinted that he would have restrictions if he were to sign with an agency.
I kind of… I want to try this on my own for now. That way, I can do the things I really want to do. If I join an agency, it’s kind of… I don’t know. Yeah, I don’t know. Anyway.

While the GOT7 members are no longer all under the same company, they have stated many times that they are still together and will release new music in the future!
