Dreamcatcher Becomes First K-Pop Girl Group To Reach #1 On Billboard’s Next Big Sound Chart
Dreamcatcher fans have recently been celebrating as the group became the first K-Pop girl group to reach #1 on Billboard‘s Next Big Sound Chart.
Dreamcatcher has been known to be more recognized overseas than in South Korea as they have a large and growing international fanbase. So, it’s easy to see why Billboard would recognize them for their efforts.
On February 10th, Billboard released the chart ranking for the week in which they placed number 1. The chart is a weekly ranking of the fastest accelerating artists across the Internet. Rather than measuring total popularity, it shows the artists statistically most likely to become the “next big sound”.
Other K-Pop stars to appear in the top 10 are Chungha at #5, VICTON at #7, and CRAVITY at #9.
