CL Confirmed To Be Inspiration For Character On “Kipo And The Age Of Wonderbeasts”
On February 21, someone on Twitter tweeted that she was sure that the character Queen Dubstep Bee from Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is based on CL.
Finally watched Kipo and I'm 1000% sure that the Queen Dubstep Bee is based on @chaelinCL. @radsechrist please confirm so I have proof to show my husband #hedoesntveliveme #KipoAndTheAgeOfTheWonderbeasts

Based on a comic, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts follows a young girl living in a world of mutant animals while discovering her own powers. The Queen Dubstep Bee is the leader of the mutant bees.
Although the tweet did not gain massive amounts of recognition, it still attracted the attention of the creator of the show, Radford Sechrist. He responded to the tweet, confirming that the character was indeed inspired by the K-Pop star, in fact, he was shocked that anyone had noticed.

How did you notice that? That’s crazy.

The original poster revealed that she noticed because of the smirk, the style, the signature smokey eye, but most of all, the mole below her lip. This specific look was inspired by an Instagram post she shared to promote her song “Hello Bitches.”
This is not the first time that the K-Pop star inspired a character design. She also inspired Jett from the game, Valorant, the name of the main character of the book series The Effigies, and the voice of D.Va from the game, Overwatch.
