SEVENTEEN Reveals Their Feelings Towards Their Abundance Of Recent Overseas Promotions And Rising Global Popularity
Since their debut, SEVENTEEN and its members have continued to grow more and more successful each day! More recently, SEVENTEEN has gained a lot of popularity outside of Korea. From performing for The Late Late Show With James Corden to their interview with the Grammy Musem’s Mini Masterclass, SEVENTEEN’s is expanding its domain!
SEVENTEEN’s four members, THE8, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Jeonghan recently revealed their feelings to Cosmopolitan Korea regarding their rising global popularity.
During their interview, the four charming members claimed while they are of course thrilled with their increasing global success, they have had to face difficulties with it because of the ongoing pandemic.
Q: Is it due to the strong solidarity? Despite the pandemic, SEVENTEEN is expanding its scope to not only domestic fans, but global fans as well. Earlier this year, you made appearances on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, “The Late Late Show,” and also the “Grammy Museum’s Mini Masterclass.” I (Cosmopolitan interviewer) think they must have been more meaningful since they were overseas promotions during the current COVID-19 situation.
It would have been better if we could have performed and felt the heat of the actual stage at the actual studio. Still, all the members put their energy into it and made a satisfying performance.
— Mingyu
Mingyu also mentioned how much he enjoyed the concepts of their The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Late Late Show performances.
In ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden,’ I liked the ‘HOME;RUN’ stage where we wore outfits like staff members and we filmed it in one shot. For ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ I enjoyed the office concept we did for ‘Left & Right.’
— Mingyu
Jeonghan shared that with all the great planning and hard work they put in, the appearances were all performances that he will never forget.
After the concept for both stages were decided, we were able to add detailed elements, and I think a higher quality stage came out from doing so. I think both performances will be stages that I will never forget.
— Jeonghan
Moreover, SEVENTEEN also recently did an exclusive appearance for Entertainment Tonight where they performed an amazing medley of all their greatest hits! They really are killing it!
